Chilly in Philly

Philadelphia PA  November 4, Day 2
Today we took the shuttle bus to the center of Philly and decided to walk to Liberty Bell and Independence hall.  Well Bill walked and I scooted.  The question of the day is "What not to do in Philly?  The answer Do not have the scooter turn over on you while trying to ride!  All of a sudden I was trying to go up the ramp curb and the next thing I knew I was going down. B ill was trying to stop me but to no avail.  Down I went.  Some very nice man came running over and then another man.  The first man said he worked in a hospital do not move.  The second man wanted to call an ambulance  Then I started to cry "No I am not going to a hosptial just get me up so I can go back to the cruise ship.  They wouldn't hear of me moving yet so here I laid.  finally I asked if they could just move the scooter off my new knee as I was not having a new one put in no way no how.  Then comes the question "How the hell am I suppose to get up.  Finally I convinced them I was okay and the 2 men and Bill lifted me up.   I am bruised and embarrassed but nothing more I hope.  So onward to Liberty Bell we went.  Tell Katrina it is still cracked.  Anyway we then got tickets for the tour of  Independence Hall with a quick taxi ride in between( yes scooter fits in trunk of taxi) to Geno's and Pat's Philly cheese steak places.  We went to Pats as that is the one the cab driver recommended.  They are right across the street from each other.  The tour of Independence hall was great and I can just imagine George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin and the rest of them sitting there drawing up our constitution.

We don't set sail till 7pm but I came back to rest before our cocktail party this evening.  I am posting a few pictures.

Now I wanted to let you know the difference between Crystal and the other ships.  Last Jan we took the Celebrity Soltice ship with Paula Deen.  Great ship.  I rented a scooter instead of bringing my own.  Asked the stewardess where I could park it at night she told me it had to o into my stateroom yikes we could hardly get to the bathroom.

Yesterday I asked our stewardess on crystal where can I park it at night she said call reception and they will send someone up to take it and charge it and return it in the am.  One of the differences,
